Now that Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol are getting a modern console release, more people will be able to enjoy these forgotten LucasArts classics.
Players can also learn a bit about the creation of the game in a short video interview with a LucasArts developer as part of the museum content. There are over 70 levels to get through with pop culture inspired names like Weird Kids on the Block and Dances With Werewolves. The combo experience with both horror games will be available for purchase via the Nintendo eShop. For fans of cheesy horror, Zombies Ate My Neighbors is one of the best LucasArts games of the 90s and will now be easier to play than ever.
Most of the monsters in the game are present in classic horror films from the 1950's and earlier, but the game also contains influences from slasher films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th. While Ghoul Patrol is less well-known, Zombies Ate My Neighbors is considered to be a cult classic by many gamers because of its surprisingly deep gameplay and humorous horror atmosphere.
